28 & 29 – 5 – 2023

An event of historical and cultural importance for the town of Andenne! The Cultural Centre of Andenne is launching a new call for applications for its International Ceramic Market, which takes place every year on Whitsun weekend.

The next edition will take place on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May 2023.

After Charles HAIR in 2021, the guest of honour for this edition is the ceramist Jean-François THIERION (DK/FR)
He will give a workshop on wholesale throwing from 23 to 26 May 2023 (more details soon)

Selection criteria :
Artistic coherence, creativity and originality, technical mastery as well as the contemporary character of the approach will be valued.
A jury of professionals will select 70 ceramists.

Timetable :
– 4 December 2022 – Deadline for receipt of entries
– Early January 2023 – Announcement of the result of the selection
– 15 March 2023 – Payment of the participation fee for the Ceramic Market (150€)
– Sunday 28 May 2023 from 6.30am to 10am – Installation
– Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May 2023 from 10am to 6pm – Ceramic Market
– Sunday from 7.30 pm to 11 pm – Meal between exhibiting ceramists at the Cultural Centre (paying on registration)
– Monday from 8am to 9.45am – Ceramicists’ breakfast at the Cultural Centre (free on registration)
– Monday 29 May from 6pm to 9pm – Evacuation of the stands

How to apply?
1 – Read carefully the General Regulation Market 2023 
2 – Fill in the online application form
3 – Send a C.V., 4 royalty-free digital photos of recent work you wish to present at the market and 1 recent photo of your exhibition stand via wetransfer to contact@ceramicartandenne.be

Ceramic Market 2022

An event of historical and cultural importance for the town of Andenne! The Cultural Centre of Andenne is pleased to announce that the Ceramic Market will now take place every year on Whitsun weekend. It is moving to the Place des Tilleuls (opposite the Town Hall) and the Promenade des Ours to offer a better visibility and to make the logical link to the Phare which houses the new Ceramics Museum.

The next edition will take place on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 June 2022 at the same time as the Ceramic Art Andenne exhibitions.

GUEST OF HONOUR the French ceramist: CHARLES HAIR

Our call for applications for the 2022 edition has met with great interest from designers.
After reading and analysing your applications online, the jury met on 20 December to make a final selection.
It was composed of :

2021 ÉDITION 

Relive the Marché de la Céramique 2021 through the photos of Caroline Derselle –  Le Mariage d’un Haïku

A historically important event for Andenne, the Ceramics Market is organised every year on Whit Sunday and Monday. This year again, no less than 50 ceramists from Belgium and abroad, who exhibit and sell their most beautiful works.
Come and escape into the diversity that clay offers and support the artists who have been waiting for this moment for months!

AT THE CULTURAL CENTRE

| CULTURE/EDUCATION” PROJECT
As part of a “Culture/education” project, the Cultural Centre is hosting an exhibition by the pupils of the 3rd, 4th and 5th primary years of the Andenne 1 municipal school in Seilles. Supervised by the ceramist Ana-Belèn Montero, the children express their visions of the world through clay creations.

Exhibition visible from 23 June to 31 July 2021 on Wednesdays from 1.30 to 4.30 pm and by appointment.

ON THE PLACE DES TILLEULS

| CONCERT: by the students of the Conservatoire de Musique de Huy

The Musée de la Céramique will be organising a presentation of the functions of the museum and a workshop/demonstration of reassembly and restoration of ceramics. It also joins forces with the cultural centre to welcome the youngest visitors for workshops on ceramics.
